Bathroom vanity cabinet space to wall

We just had this beautiful custom bathroom vanity cabinet installed.
Wanted to know what the good design practice is for space between cabinet edge to facing wall.
Cabinet depth is 24".
Space from front edge to facing wall is 27 3/4", which looks and feels too narrow.
Luckily this is a home office room bathroom.
Our contractor drew the cabinet plans.
