How do you get privacy without ugly curtains, rods, blinds etc?

This home is in the middle of NOWHERE! The only thing looking in would be the deer... so in this case there's no need for window treatments.

There are, however, several options available including pocketing shades, retractable window treatments, etc...

what are pocketing shades? We are in the design phase of our retirement home on the beach in Panama and our architect is suggesting floor to upper level glass windows on butting corners to offer spectacular views of the beach and mountains. However, we do not want to feel like in a 'goldfish' bowl from outside viewing.
