Morning ladies........we gots some sleepy heads this morning.

Should be tolerable today.... slightly warm, but humidity within reason. Cold front coming through late tonight or early after sun up and rain called for tomorrow afternoon.

Today's agenda.........organizing photos on the computer, scanning some more slides and photos.....maybe some past due sketching and painting (just haven't felt in the mood lately........kinda a lost cause when you're zoned out on pain meds).......for sure a nap.

"I don't get sleepy all the time.............but when I do, I naps..........stay rested me amigos".

Good morning, STK! I woke up to a beautiful blue Alberta sky.... and frost on the rooftops... I guess the end is nearing on what we call summer in this province.

Agenda for me... some work, some laundry, maybe today I'll go and empty the flower pots out front, because they look like they've had it for the season.

The cold winds of winter come early up there Kimdee........ in a way I envy you, but come December and January I know I would have second thoughts. I enjoy a good snow, but when it stays around for weeks on end.............not so much.

Months on end.... months. We'll get snow probably in late October or early November (IF we are lucky), last year it snowed just after Thanksgiving, which is the second Monday in October, and it sticks around until April (IF we are lucky, sometimes early May). It's depressing.... I don't even want to think about it!

Don't let it depress you Kim, embrace it. First off, sounds like you need a snowboard or a set of Ski's. Then a trip to Banff to take in Sunshine Village and include several visits to the Hot Springs :) Good food, good company, good drinks, good shopping, good times :) Although it will be cold, it's always blue skys and sunny.

Hey, I love going to the slopes whenever we go out to Denver to visit my mother........nothing like snow falling with a slope filled with skiers..........a few more trips and I figure I'll qualify for a wing backed chair beside the fireplace of my very own. I'm very content to sit, nicely warmed and cozy, with a tumbler of 10 year old Bourbon in my hand.........watching all the crazies out there wet, cold and falling in the name of fun.........to each their own. Cheers.

One of the best family Christmas vacations was spent in Breckenridge. We had a 10 bedroom Chalet , that we could literally ski down the hill out from the back deck to the lift area ..... I think the whole week we were there, I might have made 2 runs and I can ski ............far more relaxing to me was the big hot spa tub on the deck with the fire pit adjacent to it..........nothing like sitting in a hot tub with snow falling on you..............the kids loved it.

    Lost my comment...grrr
Don't remind me of cold and snow - I know it's on the way but I don't have to like it. Today was muggy weather here with possibility of severe storms coming through with the cold front. Didn't get hardly anything done today. I had hoped to get some painting done but way too humid for that...tomorrow is another day

Kutchie, been spending most of this week working on photos too. Fun but the brain gets foggy after a while. Did you say tomorrow is your hopefully big day with your specialist? Already tomorrow here, but I do hope he can give you some good news.

Our weather is still a bit all over the place here, days up to 30 deg but nights can go to single figures. Lots of wind which is keeping the humidity at bay - I will tolerate anything that keeps the humidity away.

Mo, anything below your mid 30s is just plain inhuman. There should be a law against it.

I'm slowly coming to terms with this stupid Windows 8, there is really no rhyme or reason to half of it and having a new computer doesn't help either, I keep getting new programmes thrust on me that I have no idea where they came from. One kept asking permission to attack my computer and when I clicked on "NO" promptly told me it was going to download in 33 seconds and started counting down. It got to the point last night I couldn't do a thing, it kept popping up till it sent my computer into meltdown and I had to shut down and start again. Touch wood, it seems to have the message today.
