Introducing another paint color on long hall without angles/corners?

I have a long wall that goes from my kitchen into a hallway. I would like to use a different color for the wall in the kitchen then the hallway wall. Since I have no corners nor angles, how should I introduce it - with a strait line or diagonally (see diagram)? Hope this is clear... Thanks for your replies/ideas. Maureen

None of the above. Because the windows don't line up with the furdown (bulkhead) - there is not a good place to break the color. The entire wall needs to be one color. Any other option is just going to look amateurish & call attention to itself. Sorry, I know that's not what you want to hear.

Can you provide a wider shot of the hall so that the division of spaces is a little clearer?

None of those options is going to look good. The photo Novice posted works, since this is a huge wall.

Is there any other area where you could stop the paint?

Thanks for your answers. I know, I posted because I thought this isn't going to work. I'll go back and look at colors again.

I have done it, with straight line up-down, but my colours are very similar and there is a lot of art to distract the eye.

Suggestions:

-paint both areas the same color. Won't look so chopped up.
-I don't suggest putting trim on any of the lines you drew. However, adding trim in an appropriate space can solve the problem.

Would need more photos.

I've gotten some great ideas But I have revised my plans and have decided to paint the wall the same color. Thanks for all the suggestions.
