Hi Jim - beautiful kitchen! I noticed that your first post says the counters are maucuba granite, and the second says quartzite. Can you please clarify which it is, and also tell me where I might purchase them? Thank you so much!

It is quartzite… I should have written "quartzite" in that first posting. I would call Stone Source first, and ask for Tara Gardiner in the DC office at 202-265-5900; Tara sells product for SS into projects worldwide... and yes, Tara is my wife. Typically, Stone Source has the highest quality stone you will find. SS may not have any of this stone at any given time, however, but you should be able to find it one way or another. Be aware that with White Macauba, many lots will not be this white or this linear. This lot was fantastic.

I looked at white macoubas slabs, most have cracks. The seller says it is natural. Is this meant to be bought with cracks in the slab?
