Nearing completion of a major remodel of a mid century ranch. Our style could be termed pacific NW contemporary, as we love natural wood and metal and clean lines.

New kitchen is shaker cabinets in natural maple with two sky lights to bring the light into the center of the home.

Interior doors will be replaced with 3 or 5 panel shaker (unless there's a better recommendation?).

Our dilemma is what to do for door, window and base board trim? We want to keep it simple and clean, but not stark. And we are committed to white, in order to highlight the lovely antique oak floors thought. Out contractor recommends flat stock - but that seems too bland. We really need some design suggestions, especially for the door casing.
