The interior of this addition, is now airsealed, insulated, and fireblocked to eliminate any drafts that were present in the old structure. For the cold mornings and winter season, we installed two 4’ radiant heat baseboard systems to ensure maximum comfort. Although we removed the full glass surround, there is still ample natural light in this space. Two Velux Skylights, long horizontal windows on each wall, and a large sliding glass door topped with a pentagonal window, lets natural light in from 270 degrees around this addition. A durable tile floor is perfect for this space, and setting the pattern on a diagonal creates a more spacious feeling. This tile flooring is also shown in the kitchen.
