Origin: United States. Period: 19th Century. This piece has the original tray liner inside the top of it. It would need a few minor repairs to the liner if you wanted it to hold water. The shape is very unique as it slants to the sides. It is 43" wide, 13" in depth, and 30" tall. Looks like the paint is all original, using an off white, and teal blue. The paint is distressed and washed. The legs are nicely carved, they are connected by a wood curved bow, with nicely beaded work. In the center of the piece there is a nicely carved framed piece with a portrait in the center.
