Kirkpatrick Design Glad you like it. There is actually a compacted sand underlayment under the concrete pavers and they're shored up with concrete to prevent shifting.
saeryon Has there been any shifting or problems since you installed?
I'm trying to get this look w/ contractors in NJ area but they keep advising me not to use these pavers due to shifting & try to steer me to other traditional pavers.
Thanks for the great visual inspiration! It's keeping me from compromising my modern aesthetics & regretting later. Love this!
Kirkpatrick Design sorry for the long delay in responding. I've got dwarfed mondo grass & black mulch until the mondo grass fills in. I guess you could use recycled tire mulch in the meantime.
Kirkpatrick Design it's a mesh typically used for gates. I believe you can get it at Home Depot or Lowes. It was temporary until the Japanese Yews grew.
zornb This is an absolutely gorgeous patio area, very modern and sofisticated looking. My question is, (is a concrete paver stone the same as a concrete sidewalk block, as a sidewalk block is 30" long by 24" wide?
Kirkpatrick Design the pavers are precast 2'x2' concrete pavers w/ leveled sanded bed & shored up w/ concrete. dwarfed mondo grass fills in between the perimeter
