With the goal of creating a larger and more functional outdoor environment, custom made for year-round outdoor living and entertaining, this oasis was created. By substantially raising the roof, we more than doubled the usable patio space near the home, creating a warm and luxurious outdoor living space with a TV and fireplace, and a one-of-a-kind seated outdoor kitchen, that sits just underneath a custom-made 8’ x 10’ lit copper awning. The entire area is finished 16” x 24” Ankara Travertine on the floor, a Mexican Noce fireplace surround, cedar herringbone soffit, an infrared heater, canvas wind drapery, and a custom woven copper soffit vault.

Love the feel of this space. How did you raise the roof? Is it possible without tearing down? »
Dallas Renovation Group Hello Jayna. We actually constructed a new roof over the old, then removed the old. I am attaching a few "in process" pictures that might help. The short answer is that yes, raising the roof without tearing down is very possible, and can be a good investment with the new added square footage. I hope this helps. --DRG
Dallas Renovation Group This home brick is "old chicago", which are actually re-used bricks from buildings in the Windy City. They are widely available and come in a large variety of colors and shades. If you use them, you need to really look over the pallets good, as there are significant variations, even inside of pre-sorted lots. On this particular project and home addition, we sorted well over 100,000 bricks to get the 55,000 we needed to match the original brick on the home. Here are a couple of other pictures from the entire remodel. Good luck.
Dallas Renovation Group Technically the "yard" is about 30 feet away, but I think you mean the width of this covered porch area depicted. It is just over 13' in width from the windows to the edge near the column
Dallas Renovation Group I apologize, but the client procured these items. I believe the tables were purchased from a private company in Canton, Texas, and the Chairs at a patio store in Dallas, but I don't have more specifics that that.
