Sweet loft all about the reading and sleeping -- would want clothing storage up there too, and curtains to divide from and join rest of house at will. Maybe two layers -- gauzey and theatre blackout -- so you have varying degrees of connectedness? Also would totes love to get away with full-on Capote-style blue spiral stairs, but a rope ladder would do too, and then you can completely remove access whenever you want.
