This is so nice, I love it! Where can I find one like it? - I love the design and how detailed it is! I want to find some nice barbecue islands in denver. Have any suggestions? »
Tom Stout Thank you! This is a custom island. The detail below the counter top is actually a table that they shipped here from Inda and when it got here it was broken in 4 pieces. So we used what we could on the backsplash and below the counter. There are prefab company's out there you can order from and finish it how you want. Google prefab bbq islands and you should find a distributer in your area.
Good luck!
Stout Design-Build The BBQ island base has a smooth stucco finish and a poured-in-place, colored concrete counter top. The colored tile and details on the back splash and island base are actually part of an old table the client had. We incorporated parts of the table into the BBQ island.
Move the food and bar outside. It's really the simplest and easiest way to sway people out of the house without asking. A party, especially a holiday party, revolves around alcohol and food. This way, after your neighbor has had one too many eggnogs and drops a plate full of nachos on the ground, the cleanup is a snap.
Like the pergola over the kitchen area with lights and corner curtains. It has a cozy, inviting feeling. Don't care for the patio w/ gravel between pavers.
Good luck!
