This is a fully-welded pewter hood. This is not "Slip Cast" / Sprayed-On pewter, which some manufacturers produce. Sprayed pewter creates a gritty texture and appearance, which doesn't allow for smooth finishes. Welded pewter preserves the delightful smooth feel of the metal, like authentic French pewter.
This is a pewter hood that we made in 2010. It features steel straps on the front and around the bottom, which are fastened by matching rivets. It features a subtle European texture, and has our "Semigloss" finish.
