The Master Bath opens to a lush tropical garden. A coper soaking tub is the central visual feature and also a great place to relax and enjoy the sweet Hawaiian breeze.

Saint Dizier Design The company that made this particular tub is no longer making it but they are available from a number of sources on line. Keep in mind that even with a dedicated 3/4" line, it took half an hour to fill this tub so, as with so many bath tubs that we install, it is more decorative than functional.

Unfortunately, Saint Dizier says, no one really uses tubs like these; everyone uses the outdoor shower instead. “It takes, like, an hour and a half to fill, and by that time it’s cold,” Saint Dizier says. “Copper displaces heat quickly, so the temperature drops fast. They’re beautiful to look at, in any case.”

I like that the plumbing isn't coming off a solid wall, and instead out of a natural stone pedestal. It lends itself to a large floor to ceiling window.
