Shannon Ggem ASID- Ggem Design Co LLC Sure, drywalling per a fireplace is not a huge endeavor. Something needs to hold the drywall, so the size of the structure will have to increase nominally and the details around the firebox will need to be readdressed.

Ann Marin Painted brick, done right, is lovely. It adds texture to a neutral toned room. I would not drywall it.

debdebweb I need to disagree with both... Marble Canyon is quite a bit darker and more muted. It has more yellow undertones and fewer pink undertones than the photo. Desert Sand is closer, although quite a bit darker, a little more muted and slightly more yellow undertones. I just love the color and would like to know what it is as well.
