Anne F Walters Company, Landscape Architects

We hired Anne Walters to redesign and refine the landscape around my 1926 home. The house is halfway down a slope and Anne designed a circular herb garden carved out of the slope on the uphill side. She echoed the form of that in a semicircular terrace on the downhill side. Her design tied in to the old home's existing features with an exquisite sense of scale. Her plan also added trees, and extensive plantings, both near the house and at the perimeter, as well as a new retaining wall near our driveway and entryway garden. Anne gave us a lovely sequence of plant interest all around the house, along with a subtle and pleasing lighting design. She was a good resource for contractors for all aspects. Three years later, I am delighted with my views from inside the house, and the spaces created outside - and in all seasons. Anne Walters is an excellent designer!
