Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd.

Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. is a custom architectural design firm whose work strives to meet the needs of sophisticated clients who value a collaborative design process, attention to detail and quality construction. Since its inception in 1996, Archer & Buchanan has been recognized for its exceptional residential projects including new homes, additions and renovations, historic restorations, country property planning and equestrian facilities. As the firm has grown, so has its breadth of work, which now includes college and university, library and other institutional projects. The partners of the firm have an understanding of and strong appreciation for the rich tradition and history of Philadelphia, its historic suburbs and rural surroundings. They strive to preserve the local heritage by designing buildings that will continue to enrich one of the most beautiful and historic areas of the country. They are practitioners of all styles, though much of their work draws inspiration from the extraordinary turn-of-the-century homes design by Mellor, Meigs and Howe; Walter Durham; R. Brognard Okie; and Wilson Eyre. The firm’s philosophy begins with the belief that buildings will be inhabited for a century or more and should continue to gain character, beauty and value as the years pass and history is created. Currently serving clients in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Maine and Florida.

ncdiy Looks like Lantern & Scroll (lanternandscroll.com or find them on Facebook or on here). I think I have seen that same fixture there. They are great to work with and USA made!

Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. The lantern on the post was from Heritage Metalworks out of Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Looks to be either the "Radley (LTCP103)" or "Avondale (LTCP104)". Here is their Houzz profile if you would like additional information: http://www.houzz.com/pro/heritage2089/heritage-metalworks-ltd. Let Molly know you saw the lanterns from Bryn Coed Farm and she can help you out!

spaul where was the hardware/knobs purchased for this project?
Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. The kitchen hardware and knobs were from Michael M. Coldren Company, www.coldrencompany.com. I do not believe they have sales over their website but welcome you to give Mike a call and let him know you were interested in the kitchen hardware at the Archer & Buchanan Architecture project at Bryn Coed Farm.

Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. The stone was salvaged from barns in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. You could reach out to Carl Landis, 484-824-1660 and let Carl know you were interested in similar stone used on the Archer & Buchanan Architecture project called Starry Night Farm.

hjames1623 That is beautiful! I saw some stained glass windows in Ottawa that looked very similar to this and I fell in love. How long did it take her to make? Thanks! http://www.nuden.com/super-magic-windows-doors.php

Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. I apologize but I am unsure your question in regard to the image. I have seen on Houzz some watercolor pieces by "So Very Happy Art" if that is what you are referring. Good luck with your search!

Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. We did not assist the owners in selecting the paint finishes. I can tell you it was a new piece with an antiqued finish to give it a worn appearance.

King's Floor Covering What is the style and color of the carpet in the living room?
Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. The homeowner selected all the carpets, we do not have that information. If you scroll through the other questions and comments on the photo I do recall some comments from other houzzers making a recommendation to what they thought the carpet might be. Hope that helps!
