We initially engaged CZA at the concept stage of our extensive home renovation. Cynthia was able to take our challenging ideas / goals and shape them into a stunning design that transformed our home, met our practical needs, and our budget. She was actively involved with both ourselves and our contractor during the course of the renovation to ensure the vision was realized. Cynthia and her team were highly responsive to any issues, and played an important role through the course of the construction. We are thrilled with the results and would highly recommend CZA for their uncanny ability to understand a client's needs, their creative expertise in design, their technical knowledge of construction, and just as important, their exceptional client service.

Cynthia and her team were great to work with. First she listened well to what I wanted to accomplish then used that as her guide, and then made some very helpful suggestions. She provided options that I could choose from. The icing on the cake was that when we were presenting to the heritage committee (both the local one and the municipal committee) she attended with me, prepared some great mockups and samples, and most importantly already had a good reputation with the municipal committee from past projects. So that really paved the way for successful meetings, approvals. And she celebrated its completion with me. How nice! Would definitely hire her again!

We have a very complex renovation project because of location on the Niagara Escarpment. We benefited greatly from Cynthia's experience dealing with the three bodies that would decide whether or not our project would be approved. The approval process took three years with many changes along the way and we are happy that Cynthia and Emily were there to help us get through it. We love the design. Cynthia and her employees are fabulous. Our house is still being built - but the design is inspired - I can't wait to see it! Our builder, all the trades - even the city who had to issue the building permit - have commented on the design of the house and how great it is.

From the initial consultation, through the design process and ultimately through securing committee of adjustment approval and building permits, she was extremely helpful. When we first approached Cynthia about our project, we had no idea how far she would take our concept. Transforming the exterior of a Georgian style house into a contemporary, Asian-themed one was challenging but Cynthia had the vision necessary to meet that challenge. Cynthia listened to our ideas and requirements and, taking into account our "wish list", created a brilliant design. When she initially presented us with her plan, we were pleasantly surprised, as it went well beyond our original vision. The front entry courtyard, in particular, was a stunning addition! We were very comfortable working with Cynthia who was always professional, approachable and receptive to our input throughout the process. She worked well with our contractor, helping to iron out difficulties as they arose and ensuring that the design was never compromised. We would recommend Cynthia without hesitation.
