    Kitchen Liberty Theme my friends. That is what separates this project from so many other weekend getaways. They had the guts to pick a theme and carry it through to completion. Those of us old enough (fortunate enough) to have been to a summer camp are in on the joke. It's a hoot. You grab a beer and a plate of hummus or whatever and escape with your besties. Try a theme. Daring draws criticism, but it gets you everything good!

    julie77777 Really love a lot of the inside of the main house (but it's not something I would do for myself).... however, having a communal bathroom for all guests (and it sounds likey often have a lot of them at once) is really unappealing to me, personally. As someone else mentioned, I am totally shocked that they didn't at least put a little powder room on the main floor. Would be nice to have that kind of $$ to put into a second home / retreat; I am sure many of you can agree with that! Quite a place!

    pursue If you are handy at DIY, the Bosch may be able to be fixed for about $139.00. We have replaced the control boards in both of our 12 year old Bosch dishwashers and they are both working fine. Google your model # and trouble shooting tips. There are UTube videos with step by step directions to replace the control boards. I have heard that Miele dishwashers are considred top of the line.

    DAWN KITCHEN & BATH PRODUCTS INC Why not choose a bar sink for the extra sink in the kitchen. Bar sinks tend to come in all sizes, but if your looking for something on the smaller side, they can really give you the functionality you are looking for and help you from bumping elbows with the other chefs in your kitchen. Dawn has an excellent bar sink line to choose from.

    Robert J Erdmann Design, LLC The wood veneer is: Curly Maple with a very light dye-stain tint, custom formulated color, and then sprayed with industrial catalyzed polyurethane clear. The varnish was chosen for it's non-yellowing quality (otherwise it would turn amber and change the look we were after). There are several different cuts of curly maple: if you do a project with it be sure to get "live samples" of the veneer flitch for your project, to manage expectations.

    These cabinets were fabricated in my shop. Let me know if you need any assistance or would like me to look at fabrication for you.

    Robert J Erdmann Design, LLC The wood is Cumaru (also known as Brazilian Teak). This wood species is very hard. Planks are about 5" solid wood. I think it was a natural finish with waterborne top-coat varnish. (not pre-finished)

    Robert J Erdmann Design, LLC FYI: I provided the sliding door hardware and custom-built pocket door frame as well. On this project the doors are over 10' high, and are made of rock-hard ample. As such the sliding door track was engineered accordingly to accommodate 1,000 lbs of doors sliding on a 24' long track. The door jamb opening is 12' wide

    Robert J Erdmann Design, LLC Thanks for your question. Wall colorolor question has been asked numerous times. Unfortunately there is no color number or formula: it was custom mixed at the job-site by the painting contractor to home-owner's liking. Best of luck on your project!
