We hired Jeff Satterwhite at Centerline Homes to build our "Forever" home in North Carolina. Never having built before, Jeff proved to be an honest, experienced builder who explained things along the way and helped us make educated decisions. Jeff also gave us the latitude to design the custom home we wanted based on our likes and needs. We couldn't be more pleased with our beautiful retirement home!

After plenty of research and multiple recommendations from friends, we hired Jeff Satterwhite / Centerline Custom Homes to build our dream retirement home in Southport, NC. We moved into our new home in November 2015 and couldn't be happier with the overall building experience and end result. Jeff was very accommodating to our desires and even lined up unique suppliers to meet our specific tastes...everything was custom built to our liking. A friend recently asked us what we would have changed in our design or done differently during construction and we honestly couldn't think of anything...a great testimony to Jeff's understanding of our wants and his ability to deliver. His subcontractors were of the highest quality, office staff was very responsive and helpful, and his ability to meet deadlines and cost estimating were spot on. Thanks to Jeff's attention to detail and communication of potential cost overages, we had no delays or budget surprises along the way. Our punch list after we moved in was short and quickly resolved - another example of Centerline's quality throughout the process. This should be our final home, but if we would ever build again, we'd hire Jeff without a doubt. We'd highly recommend him to anyone looking to build their custom dream home.

This was the second home we built. The other home / builder was a challenge, but this time it was so much easier because Jeff from Centerline really works with you, not against you. There are always going to be unforeseen issues because there are so many decisions to be made. However, Jeff does a great job of explaining the options, presenting the pros and cons of each option and helping you make the right decision for your needs and budget. Jeff made sure we understood all the steps and the timeline for key decisions to keep the project moving. He has a full set of trusted vendors/suppliers lined up for the big ticket items like plumbing, electrical, kitchen, etc. All these suppliers were knowledgeable / helpful, but also welcomed you to do your own research and we not insulted if you pointed out something you found on line. Also, his subcontractors are well vetted. He has worked with most for years. They are not just random tradesmen that he pick up on a street corner. These are people he knows and trusts. In the end the final result is a well crafted home with so many extras and positive surprises. We have been in the home for just about a year and still are completely satisfied. On the rare occasion when something wasn't just right, he took care of the issue without any pushback. He really wants you to love your home. I guess you can say he was successful as we do love ours!

Working with Jeff Satterwhite and his team at Centerline Custom Homes was a joy! He is very professional and wants to make sure his clients are totally satisfied with the end product. While Jeff built the house we wanted, we relied on his professional expertise on several decisions, and each time he steered us in the right direction. One example is making sure the foundation was high enough on the lot in an area next to wetlands. Additionally, we had special orders for the gas fireplace, master tub, and stove exhaust hood. Each of these items needed special treatment that Jeff personally made sure were installed properly. It is this attention to detail that sets Jeff apart from other builders we have used in several other states. He was also very good about responding to questions via email, text, and phone, and we were kept apprised of all phases of the construction. One of the best things about working with Jeff is his positive attitude and desire to meet deadlines without sacrificing the quality of the work. All of his sub-contractors speak highly of him. Furthermore, all of our neighbors complimented Jeff for keeping the building site clean and tidy with minimal intrusion in their lives. Jeff kept an open line of communication and we worked through all financial and scheduling issues that popped up. From beginning to the end of our project, we were thoroughly pleased.
