Hi Kevin, I believe the posts were 14" square but that would be a question for the architect or the contractor - that is the best I can do!

1. if you have a problem with strong winds use a sleeper piece of wood to keep door open. nice and heavy, kids dont pick it up...and dogs dont chew on it like those stupid plastic stops. ad a rope for convience.

2. old paletes as a frame with a steel plate painted with chaulk board paint. it magnetic and nice and handy in the kitchen for messages etc. i used a set of old spoons that we never used...but you can what ever you want.

Thank you pursekeys for the info on the chairs! I love the Windsor type back on them. We have some of the same type of spring rocking chairs made of iron and love them for their comfort, durability, and beauty. But ours have a squared back with a knob on either side. I can't tell you how many times I have bent over and nearly knocked myself in the head on one of those knobs! Thank you again!

This faucet was installed in the wall before the tile was laid. Not sure I would recommend it, but it's what the owner wanted.

Thanks Kathy - we ended up doing a different installation that was open behind the tub for access. Since the tub is "tucked" into the space, you don't see it so it works. I appreciate you getting back with me!

In England, we call them paraffin lamps, or hurricane lanterns. I still love them, whatever they're called!

Hi Marilyn Swann, It is actually plaster with an integral pigment rather than paint. I am afraid I don't have the formula the plasterers used. So glad you like it!
