Holly Marder Hi there, as this is an office space which was used for the table setting shoot, there is no tour, though I am working on one in the coming months. If I have a link to show you the rest of the space, I'll be sure to share it with you. Holly

Holly Marder photo is featured in an ideabook: 14 Ways to Style Your Mantel for Spring and Summer

Paintings by Kirsten Elizabeth Gilmore I'm biased towards putting original paintings over the mantle--especially since I paint custom florals. :) But l like the idea of actual branches from the yard as large botanical arrangements. I wonder how long the greenery would last. (The image below is a custom, 2ft by 4ft knife painting that will soon be covered with white apple blossoms.) www.paintingsbykegilmore.com

ribsoo6 Hiya, I am thinking about putting the T.V above the mantel ( it will work best for the strange shape of the room ) but I was concerned about whether it was safe to do so or if it may damage the T.V. Can anyone please advise on this? Thank you.

Holly Marder Hi there Sara, the owner of this home has contacted me regarding your question. The carpets in the house are all Jacaranda carpets:
http://www.jacarandacarpets.com/
The style in this room is Palana Berber (steel grey)
The stairs are not Jacaranda but Pemerton fine twist 2501.
Hope this helps,

Simone Andriesen The Mauritshuis is closed for renovations till mid 2014. Part of its indeed breathtaking collection - Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring and others - is touring the world, including San Francisco, Atlanta and NYC. Other part of the collection can be awed at at the The Hague Municipal Museum ("Gemeentemuseum").

Kozai Modern I did an exchange to Den Haag, and reading your article brought back so many memories! I will need to go back and visit soon to check out all of your suggestions. There are more bikes than people in the country. I would definitely recommend travelling around by bike, it's very safe with bike lanes and even bike lights. Biking from the Hague to Scheveningen is a leisurely hour bike ride, filled with tree lined streets and makes you really feel like a local. Just remember to always lock it up!

Holly Marder Hi there, the paint was purchased here in the Netherlands. The manufacturer is Histor and the color is: Zorgvuldig 2010-G50Y, Histor Compleet. UK paint company Little Greene has an equally lovely shade of green called 'Cupboard Green':

Holly Marder Hi there, this shelving unit is part of Ikea's BESTA range. All elements can be put together as desired.
http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_US/pdf/buying_guides/BESTA_bg_Oct23.pdf
I am not sure which elements have formed this unit, however, I am pretty sure you can find the drawer elements as a separate unit.
Good luck!

Corinne Kowal - Emerald Green Interiors Thank you all for your compliments of our home.
To answer some questions:
@ilmha2222: The blue curtains were custom made by a seamstress. The blue taffeta is a 100% polyester taffeta in a wide width that can be found in a wide variety of colors in many fabric stores. I had the red grosgrain trim applied approximately 8 cm/ 3" from the edge of the curtain. The trim is from Houlès Ref 31152, color 9585.
@cluelessintheyard: Great question! The easiest to answer is for our office. I would go a nice shade of green to complement the woods and the antic engravings. Something like Sage Green by the LIttle Greene. Before my husband vetoed the idea of painting anything I actually thought of using Adventurer a deep red on the wall beside our living room nook/kitchen and eventually on the pillars of the living room. I also considered Mouse's Back by Farrow & Ball on the living room side of our area. It's the color I ended up using to paint the top of our console and coffee tables. The difficulty with an open space like this is that you have to be very careful where to place the colors. In our living room the wall with the forest painting and engravings continues in the staircase so it's something to think about carefully.
For our bedroom I might have gone with Juniper Ash by the Little Greene. It's a fabulous warm dark blue actually very similar to the color I used to paint the structure of the headboard.
For our son's room a grey green like French Gray or even Lichen by Farrow& Ball would look fabulous. So here you have a couple of ideas :)
@malkateso: I actually purchased them from a professional furniture seller on Ebay in Germany (Are you suprised?) The shop is this one http://stores.befr.ebay.be/Shop-der-CLP-GmbH and you can find them here: http://tinyurl.com/cc9g2ry
