John Marshall Custom Homes just renovated an older home for me to purchase for me and my children and it is by far the nicest home we have ever lived in. Larger builders cannot compete with their ability to design sensibly while caring about the environment and the local community. My assessment is that they put their heart into the end product and it reflects well on their business. Often I would see Rodney at the house on weekends doing work himself on extra things that were not even discussed, but he thought were needed. Our house was done in a timely manner and the work that the sub-contractors did showed their superior skill. If I ever decide to renovate or build another house, I would definitely call John Marshall Custom Homes again.

Builds quality home. However construction schedule was very unpredictable because often he had many projects going concurrently and does not employ any Superintendents . Advise any customer carefully inspect all work in progress daily and wkly Also, Developer still owns Future HOA common properties which are not being maintained at quality standards consistent with community’s home quality. Project incomplete I do not recommend this Builder

The time from the day we dug footings to the day we received a certificate of occupancy was 6 1/2 months, which is indicative of a well managed construction process. I appreciate the review nearly five years after we finished your home, and hosted an open house to show off the quality work of which we are all rightly proud. Mostly, I appreciate the review that you gave me via email just last week, which stated: Dear Rodney

Ruth and I are forever appreciative of the quality home your company built for us, and your responsive attention to the construction issues you helped us address to sell our prior home.

I appreciate your kind words expressing your true opinion about the quality of the home we built for you. And it was a pleasure to help you out with your prior home when it was discovered that someone had previously done work without pulling the necessary permits. I am glad that we could help you and Ruth out in that situation.

I regret that we've had differences regarding the direction of the neighborhood, which is the true reason you've elected to write a negative review after living in the house for 4 years without issue. I would invite anyone to view this neighborhood, which has been the recipient of awards and glowing commentary from just about everyone who sees it. It is truly a one of a kind neighborhood and I appreciate the contribution your home makes to the neighborhood.

We built our home with Joh Marshall Custom Homes 6 years ago and it is really standing the test of time. We receive so many compliments on it from friends and strangers. Rodney Graham is a person of the utmost integrity, which is so important when building a house. I have so much faith in his ability to manage his people, his design sensibility and his honesty. Our house was done on time and on budget. The sub-contractors were all trust worthy and skilled. If we ever decided to build another house, I would definitely use John Marshall Custom Homes again.

We have been thrilled not only with our home but also with the high level of customer service that Rodney and his team provides. Rodney went above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted and that we were happy. His crew was fantastic and we appreciated how calm and easy going Rodney was throughout the entire process. He was more than happy to accommodate any desires we had throughout the home building process (such as using old pieces of furniture as vanities) as this was our first time, plus he came in under budget and on time. We moved in January 2016. We have also been impressed (after completion) with the speed of his subs coming out to finish up any new requests we had after living in the home. I highly recommend John Marshall Custom Homes!

We hired Rodney Graham of John Marshall Custom Homes to build our house on a small, narrow lot in historic Davidson. Rodney helped us find the perfect house plan for the lot and our needs. Rodney has been fantastic to work with - he is very responsive to our questions, knowledgeable, and eager to help us realize our vision for our new home. We had several things that we wanted to incorporate and he was patient and helpful in making those things a reality. We were warned by so many people that building a house would be a stressful, arduous process, but we've thoroughly enjoyed the process and had so much fun! Rodney is a stand-up guy and we would highly recommend him.

wowing me is no easy thing. we redesign beautiful homes all the live long day. if you've seen one, you've seen them all. BUT THEN we were hired to finish the interior of a home recently constructed by john marshall homes. we walked in the front door for our initial consultation and... WOW! every detail was flawless. the design, layout, style, flooring, tile, kitchen, porch, fixtures, cabinets, doors... ohmyword, THE DOORKNOBS! every detail. flawless. Building a custom house while living 750 miles away is a situation that could very easily become very frustrating. However Rodney Graham's understanding of our needs and open style of communication eased all the bumps and made it a pleasure to do business with him. This is especially so since our needs included the design and building of an in-law suite in a portion of the house, a not too common request. However working with Rodney and his architect, we quickly went from concept to drawings and finally realization of our plan. We ended up with a beautiful, soundly made house in which we are very comfortable and happy.

JMCH added a screened porch to my home. The owner was creative, helpful, and on target across the board. And very importantly, he was accessible and always returned my calls in a timely manner. I would definitely hire them again for future projects.
