I first met John when I was a wall covering installer on a job we had in common. We quickly had mutual respect for each others work and I was fortunate to provide my service on his projects at that point. John is completely professional while remaining comfortable to talk to. He understands his work inside and out, never missing a detail. Many designers do not understand the practical side of their work. John however puts beauty and the real world aspect of design together impeccably. If you are thinking about using him as your guide through the maze that the design world is, think no more. You will not regret it.

John designed three residences for me over the past decade, first in South Beach, then Bratenahl, and most recently in Manhattan. All three are high-rise condos that started as completely blank spaces when John was hired. I couldn't be more pleased with the design process and how they turned out. They look as current today as they did 5-10 years ago when the projects were completed. I'll hire John for my next residence.

John Koncar is the ultimate professional who has the added ability to connect with his clients in a manner that produces great joy in the process and complete satisfaction when your home is done. John created a retro-modern masterpiece for my wife and me when he deigned the interior of a 4300 sq. ft. home that we built. John designed our entire home in 1996 and his timeless design still elicits compliments today. We have worked with him for a few updates over the years also. Quite simply, John is a brilliant designer. He listens closely and works with the client to express themselves. His taste is impeccable. He meets budgets and deadlines. John's expertise as a designer and planner is immense. He has helped us with several projects over the past many years. When we built our present dwelling in 2003 (a condo) he helped us plan every detail including electrical and spatial elements.He truly cares about the client and is respectful of the client's vision and financial commitment. Everyone who works with John praises his work. He has access to a multitude of sources, and he is inovative and flexible. His work stands the test of time. Every piece he found for us remains a beloved part of our home. We highly recommend his design service and the relationship with his clients that lasts long after the work is completed.

John Koncar has many years of experience from starting out working with a high end design firm in Cleveland, learning the ends and outs of all aspects of the design business, to operating his own business built upon those learned skills.
