Finished Basement NJ

We used Finished Basements during Covid to add some happiness in our lives since all our vacations for the year were cancelled. I have to say I am very happy with what an amazing job they did! The workmanship is spectacular and they always are there when you need them. Even during this challenging time they were extremely busy but always found a way to answer and get to any questions I had or fix any issues. I am a novice with construction and they really help walk you thru the process, I was also pregnant so they dealt with my prego brain and made me feel extremely comfortable that everything was going to get done and be exactly how I want. The finished result is nothing short of spectacular!

Pat and his crew were absolutely amazing! My basement went from being a storage area to becoming our favorite area of the house. I love that Pat was able to sit down with us personally and give us his advise on the best use of the space. All work stayed within budget, and the project was done faster than we expected. Thank you again!

We wanted to finish our basement for quite a while and finally after much research hired Pat. His prices were around the same as other companies but he made your basement into another floor by hiding poles and opening staircases. We loved the layout and were pleased that we could move it around a bit to make it our own. Dan came to frame the basement and actually surprised us by adding a window seat we never even thought of. He framed it beautifully by himself in 3 days and we knew we hired the right people for the job. Maureen was the project manager and was amazing at timing when contractors leave and the next crew come in. She and Kelly were also great when I had questions or concerns and even their crew to clean up extra materials and bring in shipments were always so nice and hard working. Our basement came out great. We are so happy with the results and would highly recommend.

From initial conceptual help, to planning and continuing through the entire construction process, Finished Basement converted our basement from an empty shell, to a comfortable family entertainment area. Pat and his foreperson were available throughout, answering questions, providing guidance and overseeing every stage of the work, from beginning, to final inspection approvals. The workers were honest, trustworthy and had an eye towards cleaning up after themselves, after each day's work. We definitely recommend Finished Basement NJ highly.

I hired Pat to finish my basement after being referred by a close friend who had his basement done by Pat a few years ago. He commented on how it was the most stress free experience since Pat was always there and took care of everything. Well, that was a few years ago, now Pat has gotten very popular and no longer spends any time on the projects. He simply signs people up, spends a hour or two on the layout and then you rarely see him again (until you scream to get him to show up for an hour). Pat's company has as many as 60 projects ongoing at a time, no wonder he doesn't care about how his customers are treated anymore. The quality of his sub-contractors are average at best. The person he sent to do the framing (his own guy) was fine, after that he largely uses subcontractors (who you have to manage) who were mediocre to bad. Many who I had to spend time with to explain them the project would constantly complain that many of Pat's customers are unhappy with their experience and how the subcontractors are considering stopping working with Pat because of unhappy customers. When you call with issues, Pat's "project manager" says they know what they are doing and they can send whoever they want to do the job. When they screw up, it's largely your problem. Does anyone QC the work done? Nope, that is your job as well. BTW - what kind of project manager never visits the project? Pat's. She is absolutely horrible to work with. I would also recommend you stay away from the electrician and plumber Pat uses. You'll get overcharged and I had very poor experiences with both. You are paying a premium to work with Pat for which you expect above average service. Pat's success has led him to focus on other ventures (recently opened a restaurant which draws most of his attention these days) at his customer's expense while he continues to cash the checks. Find a contractor who cares and you will be much better off.

Pat Gagliano is the best contractor around!! Nothing but the best work and customer service!! You can't compare his work to anyone else and he makes sure you get exactly what you want. His custom bars and home theaters are just amazing!! We also got a custom wall unit that everyone dies over when they see it!! I wouldn't recommend anyone else!
