About Us

Family-owned and operated, David Ramsay, Cabinetmakers Inc, is located in the heart historic Moorestown, New Jersey. Since 1980, we have been serving clients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and beyond, establishing a reputation of distinction in our field. We design, build, finish and install custom cabinetry and architectural millwork for home or businesses. Our range of projects includes libraries, wall units, TV-Audio Visual cabinetry, theater rooms, bars, home offices, built-ins, kitchens, baths, wainscoting, moulding, architectural trim, reproduction millwork, custom doors and windows, one of a kind furniture, tables, desks, bookcases and any other wood or millwork project. We work in all species of wood and veneers, stains, varnishes, lacquers and painted finishes as well as incorporating laminates, metal and other components as needed. Homeowners will find that they can deal directly with us; letting us help them choose and develop ideas and designs that suit them, their needs and their home. Since we design and build each project from scratch, we can incorporate any requests, including matching existing architectural woodwork and layout or any outcome the client visualizes in new construction. All of our work is done on the premises in a 9,000 square foot facility with shop, offices, and showroom. Our skilled team of designers, cabinetmakers, finishers, and installers allows us to handle projects of all sized from free standing one-of-a-kind furniture with traditional joinery to architectural millwork installations. David Ramsay, III, opened the shop in 1980, with no employees, at the age of 25 after graduating from Rutgers University, Camden with a degree in Art History. His early background in cabinetmaking came from his high school experience at the Church Farm School (CRS) in Glenloch, PA. The experience and reputation of the shop has grown through the past 37 years with each project completed, contributions by employees and interaction with clients and design professionals. If you are looking to craft your next project into a true work of art, give us a call today at (856) 343-(856) 234-7776 or click the "Contact Me" button to send us a message. We look forward to working with you!
