At first Studio Toop listened to our wishes, a garden for butterflies, birds and insects. A garden that is accessible for a wheelchair. A budget-friendly garden, re-using the materials.. We were delighted that she heard and remembered all the small details, so important for us. The benches of re-used material are insecthotels and for us to sit in the garden on 4 places. So welcome for a handicapped person. The pond is beautiful, such a peacefull place. The willow fence is really a masterpiece. A great green, living wall. The flowers bloom after each other. Always flowers blooming in the garden, every season. Big variation of flowers. We have so much more space in the garden. For the daughters places to hang the hammock. For us the garden is a place to feel at peace and safe. Visitors are so excited about our garden. They all want to see how this green garden develops. We are very thankfull what Carrie Preston did for us. It was a big gift the way she designed and performed our garden.

Carrie has designed our awesome garden in May 09'. She has an incredible sense of and passion for outdoor spaces. Her design is unique and functional. Her plant arrangements for our garden is not only beautiful but well thought of to compliment the design and ensure a beautiful garden all year round. We love the way we as a family, get to experience the different areas of our garden as well as the whole look of it. Because it was well designed with flexibility in mind for our young family, as our children grow, it seems to grow with them with little need for change. We are very thankful to have a Studio Toop Garden!

We hired Studio TOOP for consultation and garden design when we bought our new house. We knew we hated the garden that was there, but had no idea how best to improve it. There were a few meetings to discuss and review our needs, what we looking for, what we thought important about the space. The design was discussed and reviewed, and adjusted. TOOP also advised during implementation and construction. Here we are a few years later, and the space functions beyond our expectations. It was well worth the extra step (and cost) of hiring an experienced consultant to guide the project.

Studio Toop understood our wishes and translated them into the garden we now enjoy. We were provided with a flowering scheme and design chart. We were given lots of tips and tricks on how to keep our garden going. We would also like to state the after sales involvement from Studio Toop is also worth a recommendation. When asking for advise on adding flowers or other information we were always heard.

Once there was a garden full of stones and weed. Then we applied for a garden makeover and were introduced to Carry from Studio TOOP. A match made in heaven. She listened to our wishes and created a place of sanctuary. For us this was our garden of eden created for birds, bees, the cats and ourselfes in which we can relax after a full day of work. Till about 19:30hrs (in summer) we can enjoy the sun (if it shines in Holland) in our backyard. If it gets to hot, we place a sunscreen between the bollards and enjoy the shade and eat the fruit which is growing from the fruittrees and shrubs.

With great enthousiasm and knowledge of plants and colours I like, Carrie created a new border for me. There was a big empty place in my garden due to the fact that a large birch had to be cut. Later she filled the place with a lot of colourfull bulbs, people specailly came to see it. timing was not always clear to me, but every question about it was rewarded.

Excellent company. Carry listened very well to our wishes of creating a Zen-like city garden with a seamless fit to our living room. She made a design that exceeded our expectations, by adding unexpected elements. For example, she proposed to add a metal framework that provided the possibility to attach a swing for our kids, but that also acted ad a piece of art. Execution was managed very well and up to today we fully enjoy the end-result.

We've been impressed by the originality and adaptability of Carrie's ideas. Her plan has been a very useful tool in the step-by-step re-design of our garden and main entrance. The main entrance is in the process of becoming a friendly mini-garden. We're thankful that Carrie inspired us to work with low budget materials and strategically placed plants, so we could stay within budget. Highly recommended! - Dagmar de Vries

Being Dutch, we typically don't rate 5 stars (we believe there's always room for improvement). But as this is an American site, I will. My garden is absolutely perfect! I started out with giving studio TOOP a free hand. Of course I had a couple of requirements: - I have a big family and don't want to have to store chairs for the couple occasions I need them. - I have, what we call, a 'drive-in' house. Meaning my main level for living is the second floor. My view of the garden is often from above. So do my neighbours. I also wanted some privacy. - Plant wise I didn't have many requirements. I love the woods and I like loose planting, a bit wild. Carrie surprised me with her design. The way she integrated my wishes feels very natural. Whatever the season the garden is inviting. The materials suit the house and the neighborhood, understated and smart at the same time. Everything feels in place and perfectly suited to me. Whenever I am in my garden I feel like I am on vacation. Never regret it. She is a professional who knows what she is doing. Attached a photograph of the garden during a party with 90 people. Never would have thought they all fit. It was great party.

We hired Studio Toop several times and our experience with Carrie is highly positive. She's so ceative, but also a good listener, she's fun to be with ands knows how to be efficient as well. So the costs are not at al high, considering the job done. You've done a geat job for us and your work is only getting better by the years! Thank you.

Ik dacht dat ik zelf een aardig tuinplan had gemaakt. Maar Carrie's expertise scherpt zo'n ontwerp aan, haalt alle overtollige zaken weg en brengt het tot de essentie terug. Niet dat het clean of sfeerloos wordt, integendeel. Door haar ontwerp komt alles wat ik zelf bedacht had, opeens veel beter tot zijn recht. De grote lijnen worden net wat duidelijker aangezet en daarbij is het ook nog een heel prettig persoon waarmee het zeer goed samenwerken is. Kortom: toop is top!
