Actually there isn't a ceiling light. The renovation work to this room was quite minimal. We redesigned the master closet and added a bookshelf with custom TV shelf that would be to the right of this image. The windows were fixed and the room was repainted, but alas, no ceiling fixture.

Thanks for the nice comments. The house is relatively small. The living room is in the original cape and the interior width finishes out at 15' - 2" and the overall width is 23' - 6", but the living room is only about 12 feet of that depth.

No, this countertop is built up from salvaged, clear, Douglas fir our client found that came from an old Michigan distillery from the 1880's. Much of the interior of this house is from this wood, including the floors, wainscot and this island as well as the desk in the other corner of this same kitchen.

What treatments did you do to the deck? It looks really glossy and not like your typical flooring. I like how the wicker chairs can be seen in the reflection. I like the lighter color of the chairs more than the dark one. I think that they are both necessary for the design though. http://www.palmcasualswfl.com/wicker.php

Is the bridge fawcet vintage like the sink? I love to find one like this for my similar sink that I use in my greenhouse.

You are a saint for answering so many constant questions about this house. But it just goes to show what a stunning renovation this is and how much people admire your work. The homeowner is to be commended also for having the forethought to save so many wonderful vintage peices and having such great taste in furniture and art!
