you r resourceful--can't you work your magic and get the name of the wall paint--there has to be someone-- PAINTING contractor or just ask the owner..

I absolutely LOVE the white mantle and stone work around this fireplace. Wow! Kudos to the workmanship and designer. It's perfect! This looks like an electric fireplace, is it?

I contacted Christopher out of the blue, asking if he could provide me with information on a fireplace mantle that he designed and helped create. The design of the mantle is timeless, elegant, and warm, and Christopher's willingness to share it with me is very much appreciated. M. Beltramo

My suggestion would be to paint over the trim for a more open and contemporary look.

I second that opinion and would paint the trim. Use color on the walls to differentiate spaces and tie all the spaces together with a consistent trim color.

    Revel Woods Hardwood Flooring

    Hey wilwatson!

I'll let the designer/builder speak to the specifics of the floor but it looks like it could be a prefinished oak. When deciding whether to refinish versus reinstall, it comes down to: what kind of flooring you currently have (to be sure it can be sanded/refinished) and whether it can be refinished to the style you're looking for (ie: if you want to get the red out of brazilian cherry that would be tough). Your best bet is to find a quality NWFA certified installer to come take a look to see if the floor can be transformed into what you're looking for (we offer a quick search for installers here: We also offer a wide array of prefinished hardwood options via a quick hardwood flooring quiz so you can find the right type of hardwood for your space if you're looking to install new flooring: We ship samples and all our hardwood direct to your door in the US (and all of our products are handmade in the US or Canada). I'm linking here a few prefinished options similar to above as well. Hope this helps!- Revel Woods

If you’ve been on the hunt for an alternative to beige, Guilford Green is an excellent option to consider. It’s a fresh neutral that wouldn’t look out of place in a transitional or traditional living room.

River rock. A naturally round stone that comes in various palettes, river rock is available in many sizes, even up to 15 inches. River rock is textural and neutral and fits with traditional and rustic styles. Cost: $4,000 to $7,000 for materials and installation.

Stone is interesting. Mantle slightly too distracting.

Interesting mantle and woodwork. I don't like the river rock thought

This is Chris’ favorite mantel and fireplace. I don’t think we will do river rock surround, but haven’t ruled it out. Otherwise, he/we really like the woodwork.
