I love this look and would love to use your wall colors in my master bath. However, is it the black accessories which defines the paint color on the walls? This look is so smart! I am not sure if I select these colors for my master bath that I would achieve the same results - what do you advise as I am so frustrated with all the samples I brought into my space and still not satisfied.
  • Catherine Parks
Sherwin Williams has a beautiful pale green called Opaline, which I love. Take a look at that color before you decide on your paint color for the bathroom. It looks like seaglass to me. So pretty.

beautiful bath. a budget friendly vanity alternative would be to have a good carpenter cut and install an arched frame over a stock rectangular mirror. place the sconces to the sides. just a thought.
  • juliesecory
DIAspoton- I loved that idea of having a carpenter install a overlay over a rectangular mirror as we have a rectangular mirror already that we don't want to remove. Do you know what the of wood we could use that would not be very expensive? Since we would paint the wood then could we use plywood or would that be too cheap and not look good?

@missangel99 Crema marfil is absolutely beautiful in the bathroom. Marble is very durable and does not keep mold at all. All you have to do is seal it every year. Beaty comes with the pain ;)) There is no other maintanence needed. You just have to make sure you get the Crema Marfil that is quarried and made in Spain. There are some Crema Marfil out there made in China with poor quality which might crack during installation. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question, but this was previously asked and answered.
Please remember to look at all the questions and answers on a
particular photo before posting a duplicate question. We want to be
helpful, but answering questions takes up a significant amount of time,
so we sincerely appreciate it when you review the available information.
From your PC there is a green More info button which will reveal all the questions asked before. For your convenience I have included the answer to your question below:

I place sconces based on their size (height) and where the bulb is on
the fixture, I like the bulb to be placed 63" - 66" above the floor, or
eye level so the sconce adequately lights the face. I do not recall
what the exact dimension is in the photo above, but based on my above
comment, it is irrelevant because you should consider the fixture you
have selected. Start with the bulb height at eye level, then come down
to the plate location. There is no standard where one placement height
fits all, every fixture is different.

I recommend you speak to a professional painter for this. If the prep work is not done well you will have yearly maintenance with chipping and peeling especially around sinks. I would recommend hiring someone who has painted cabinets before, will use high quality paint and be sure they are properly de-greased, sanded, and prepped with a good primer coat. This is not inexpensive option and can run $8,000.00 and up for a high quality job. Trying to paint them yourself will provide a very temporary face lift, but will not withstand the daily uses and abuses a typical kitchen receives.

The cabinets are actually a different color than the trim in this room although close, they are made by Crystal cabinetry and are painted in their proprietary finish, which is called bisque. That is a crown over the top of the mirror. The big difference although more expensive than what you are doing is that this mirror also has a 2" wide bevel around the edge. You cannot achieve this using an existing mirror already on the wall. I would ask your cabinet man if he can do a sample of the frame so you can lay it over the mirror to see how it looks, you only need a 6" piece to see if the frame will lay nicely and look right. Good Luck
