Rembrandt Renovations completed a renovation of our home in 2021. Jerome's team renovated our entire home except for the base level of our split level home which we chose to live in during the renovation. As painful as renovation is, Jerome's team made it as painless as possible and as pleasurable as a process like this can be. His team is professional, courteous, detail-oriented, and work diligently on your behalf in dealing with trades. His team was more exacting on the quality of delivery in areas I would not have thought of to look or ask. Most importantly, he delivered the project in the time frame that was set on and on the budget that was set out. Rembrandt delivers on its promises and commitments. Rembrandt has an excellent project management system and process, which requires some work and diligence on the part of the customer, but the payoff is better communication, transparency and oversight over your project. Communications, process and availability with Rembrandt is excellent. They truly are a partner and trusted advisor to your project. Our home is an architect built cedar cladded split level home. Jerome's team appreciated the character of the home and worked to preserve and enhance it, but they also appreciated the complexity of the home and his team's woodworking skills were up to the task. On the more personal and softer side, we chose to live at our home during the renovation while we were still transitioning back from COVID (ie. we were home more often). The Rembrandt team always left the job site clean and safe and the team was always professional, respectful, polite and friendly onsite. I have 2-young children and my son got to know Jerome's team on a first name basis, and being curious, Jerome's team would take time to explain and teach him what they were doing and why. My son enjoyed being around Jerome's team so much, he asked to take pictures with them before they left. I have nothing but good things to say about Rembrandt and highly recommend them.

After years of talking about renovating our drafty, dark, chopped up 1912 Kitsilano house we had the excellent fortune of Rembrandt Renovations accepting the task. In what proved to be a most challenging time, the team of Rembrandt Renovations was professional, committed and reliable. Beginning with the design process, all the way to the finishing touches we were consulted and involved, our expectations were exceeded at all levels. I can say that a whole house renovation is not to be taken lightly. In January 2020 we packed up and moved out for 14 months. The building was stripped to the bare bones and came back to life structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, sparing no attention to the details you can see and plenty you cannot. Had it not been for Rembrandt Renovations we would not have known where to start. They provided options they knew to be reliable for supplies and services, we were not disappointed by any of the trades we chose based on Rembrandts recommendations. Financially we always knew where we stood with costs, there were no hidden fees, obviously a big deal with any project and particularly with one large and old. As expected there were surprises which we were made aware of and participated in what course of action would be best suited. Rembrandt Renovations worked solely on our house, there were no missed days because another job site beckoned and weekly meetings kept us on top of the progress. The craftsmanship deserves an entire review to itself. A masterpiece was created thanks to the vision and skill of Rembrandt. The exterior of the house was returned to it's former glory, the interior opened up into a useful space flooded with light. The detail in and out is more than we could have imagined, rafter tails, window trim, baseboards, soffits, the list goes on, all masterfully created by the talented team. I can't stress enough the value of communication in a project. There are so many decisions and choices to be made, plans change, problems arise, some moments are overwhelming. Jerome and Carly Mens were our saviour on many an occasion, providing solid practical advise, not just being available but also being kind, considerate and a pleasure to talk to. The entire Rembrandt team is considerate and respectful and we thoroughly enjoyed having every one of them be a part of creating our home. In fact, the only way we would ever consider another renovation is if Rembrandt would take the job. In short, Rembrandt Renovations took a tired old house and meticulously crafted a home. Rembrandt Renovations Ltd. completed a whole home renovation for us in 2017. Our house was taken down to the studs, walls were knocked out, square footage was added, and the deck was rebuilt and expanded. The quality of the work and attention to detail was exceptional. Throughout the project we received regular communication and expert advice and guidance. We had Rembrandt Renovations complete a substantial renovation on our home in East Vancouver. We are very happy with the result and had a really good experieince working with Jerome and his crew through out the process. Our project had lots of clean, modern, architectural details that were challenging to execute and Rembrandt was equal to the task. We have a mid-century modern home, and our goal was to seamlessly incorporate the new portions of our home with character of the original design. The concrete work, mill-work and stairs were complex project highlights for us and these elements really tied the whole house together. Jerome was very good at working with us to find solutions when project required some unforeseen problem solving, and the crew kept the site tidy and were always professional and courteous to our neighbors.

An outstanding experience. All Rembrandt work and trade work was completed on time and without incident. Jerome communicated openly and clearly outlined the work required for our renovation. Monthly billings were transparent and supported by documentation. Rembrandt's workmanship was of the highest quality and was beyond our expectations. Jerome's attention to detail added the extra touches that make our home special to us and his trades people were clean, efficient, and always on time. We felt completely taken care of by Jerome and Karl. Jerome made us feel that our renovation was his top priority and he was always available to us. Jerome is meticulous and has built a network of top quality trades people which sets Rembrandt apart from other contractors we interviewed. Karl cared for our home as if it was his own. Not only did Karl's own workmanship exceed our expectations, he also oversaw the trades' workmanship as well. The best part of working with Rembrandt was the sense of security we felt knowing that our interests were taken care of. We have proudly recommended Rembrandt to a number of friends and neighbours.

We have hired Rembrandt Renovations for several projects in our home such as den, then living room/dinning room reno and lastly a complete reno of our backyard including retaining walls, deck with hot tub and pergola.
