“We met with several landscapers to get ideas and help to transform a totally raw, unfinished new build backyard. Neither my husband nor I have green thumbs and landscaping, trees, plants etc are out of our comfort zone. After my first contact with Irene and within 10 mins of our consultation with Joe we knew we'd found the right firm to help us. Our yard and project aren't very big but that didn't matter, Joe took immense time and care in designing our space, taking into consideration light, trees, neighbours and our desire for low maintenance. There was no pressure at any time and he was also very open to doing our project in phases, both to help us manage costs and allow us to better envision the end product given we were starting with nothing. The work was scheduled promptly, Joe was onsite during the work and his team were lovely - very conscientious and meticulous about their work right down to the clean up. Our project was delivered on time and within the budget we'd been provided. Joe has also made several follow up visits to tweak a couple things and ensure everything is perfect. We made the decision to add some landscape lighting - it's fabulous - and one of Joe's team came back at 930pm the day of install to see the lighting in the dark and make adjustments. Both Joe and Irene have a way of making you feel like you're their only client and no question is stupid, they will help and advise every step of the way and are patient to explain things and bounce around ideas. I have clear watering and planting plans and Irene was a great help with my challenge to find the right hydrangeas - she was a lifesaver taking a couple panic calls from me while I was stood at a garden centre! We will embark upon phase 2 in the spring and are very much looking forward to continuing to work with these truly lovely people who are both passionate about their work and business and genuinely care about the service and product they provide.”

“We’ve hired Action Home Services to fix the eroding slop in our backyard. Our beautiful backyard slope was washing down water onto the patio with every rain. It was only a matter of time before the whole hill came tumbling down. Our close friend suggested Action Home Services to help us and we are extremely satisfied, the problem disappeared. They used layered plantings of deep- and shallow-rooted trees, shrubs and ground covers to prevent water runoff. Also they redecorate the slope with boulders and stone retaining walls to gradually flatten the incline and slow drainage. Eventually, our backyard looks much better and does not threaten the patio. Highly recommend!”

“I wanted something different, something to showcase my front door and add great curb appeal. Our front lawn has a big tree so having a big garden is not an option for us, as there is not enough light. Earth and Sole suggested to paint my door red and install BIG granite slab walk way leading up to the door, with river rock in between the granite slabs...a small garden, with matching granite on the driveway side of the path allowed us to plant perennial grasses that gives us some great greenary and uniquely seperates the driveway from the front of our house - I've never seen another installation like ours. I love coming home and seeing my walk - it makes the house so inviting. I can also say that Houzz loved my front walk and Red Door as it was featured in an aritcle on the site about the appeal of Red doors.
