I like pier1, and I'm trying to blend sofa with rest.... this has a chunky look, but it's global all right! You might not want to take up visual space with these - but an open concept might make a differenece. I once had a metal/glass table that was good.

Is your sofa at an angle? It needs to be squared up with the walls and or windows.

Let's find another home for the little shelf behind the door. If that's for your keys get a small pedistal or table to put them on when you walk in.

Travel theme is good but beware of putting too many little dinky things on the wall. You need some large art to anchor that couch. Why not use vintage travel posters. Get two or three that are framed very simply. They add so much color and interest!

Will your sofa fit on the wall with the boomerang? Try it there and leave the small chair in front of the wall plug just at the edge of sliding glass door. Move the wicker chair across from the other chair. That will open up your room. Then put the travel posters behind the sofa.

Hello, I think a rectangular reclaimed wood coffee table would look great. Clean lines, but rustic material. Your 2 side chairs look small and uncomfortable. If budget allows, a larger club chair to replace them along with side table and reading lamp would look good in that corner. I Love leelees' suggestion for travel posters/prints......they bring a lot of color into the space, and they are large. Your wall could carry that off. Then you have colors in them to bring into your pillows and other accessories.

I think it is the perfect blend of rustic/modern and travel. It carries the novel resemblance to an old shipping crate --while being %100 modern too.

For drapes, I would suggest picking a pattern that either matches or compliments the pattern of the black and white pillow.

Have you considered adding a rug? Layering rugs over carpet is a very "traveler" look!
