The timber flooring is a native Western Australian timber species MARRI or Red Gum.
For this project I requested heavy "sap veined / sap gum" this is the dark feature lines in the floor boards.
The finish is a clear "Satin" water based polyurethane sealant. The Matt finish enhances the natural timber grain & colour variations which is perfectly suited for this house.
There is a lot of information regarding the different colour variations and uses for this timber on the internet.
