Lighting in Dining Room

My dining room lighting box is centered with the room, however with a piano and a china hutch on 2 of the walls, the dining table is not centered. The lighting is also centered between the 2 front windows of this room. I want my chandelier to be centered with the table and my husband says it needs to stay centered with the room. The electric box will need to be moved about 16 inches. Who wins this debate? Please help settle this dilemma!

My mother in law has the same problem ,I don't think she accounted for the china cabinet when building her dream home.im going to watch this thread to see advice given.

Center it over the table, no question about it. You can swag it if he doesn't want to move the electrical.
