What is the mechanism width that allows the cabinet door to be ' folded in' ?

Can you help me with this detail? I am trying to have 2 banks of pantry type doors, that will conceal appliances. What do I have to give up in ' width' to have this feature work? What is the mechanism? Any other photos?
