I'm not sure what you mean by "rustic look'? When I look at your photos I am feeling that the right shade of blue would work well. Consider painting the ceiling Benjamin Moore Affinity 305 - it is a soft creamy yellow. I just used it in our dining room to get away from a white ceiling - it is very subtle to the eye. If you like it, you could also paint the walls the same color as the ceiling. That would work. Or let me know if you need help selecting a blue for the walls!
