calacatta gold marble

Did the slab fit the island or did you place a seam in it? I certainly cannot see the seam if there is one. We were told by many stone slab companies that a seam in a white material is not ideal and that we would be disappointed. Our island is longer than the slabs. We looked into super slabs of quartz, but not the look we wanted. Any thoughts??? This is holding up our whole project!
