Hi,

I have a fire opening with no mantel or details currently. I love the the red brick white washed look.

I am putting in light oak floors and lots of chunky rustic wood, think restoration hardware style furniture. I plan to create a red brick look type chimney inside the house with a chunky reclaimed wood mantel. We will place a nice large mirror on the mantel.

Is red brick still in fashion or will I devalue the property? People say it's 80's and 90's. I feel it's a classic look.
