I don't have experience with those specific options, but our cats have not liked scratching posts that move -- the more solid the better.

Thanks! Same as what I thought. The wood scratching post does seem to move al the time where the DOG scratching post is stable. Even more stable than the one we have right now as our cat moves it all the time when scratching it.

That is the most wonderful idea. It mimics a sculpture & with cats so many other objects become sculptures with them in the picture. I just love it! I wish I had a cat now but I don't think my dog will go for it. Even though she gets so excited whenever there is a cat in the yard. She even knows when there is one near w/o even me seeing it. I think Lexi could love a cat, however I don't think the cat could deal with her.

I bought a fairly inexpensive wall-mounted scratching post, which I love and the cat uses daily. It's slim, off the floor, and can be placed anywhere. All you need is a screwdriver.
