Idea for mixing traditional cherry sleigh bed into a modern mid-century setting

Client has a beautiful king cherry sleigh bed (simple lines) and wants to use it in a modern mid-century house with white bedding and white beam ceilings. Would white semi gloss night stands work to make the room more modern? I'm thinking of doing white bedding with a touch of grey to make it sophisticated and not so traditional. Any thoughts?

Consider a wall hung single drawer (or open) in cherry with a pendant over it on each side. It's a light weight contemporary approach using traditional materials.
