Honestly, I'd leave the floors as they are and stain the cabinets darker. The lighter floor will look great with the darker cabinets, and if you go dark for both the effect as a whole could be much too dark.

Feeny after reading my post I'm not sure I stated it correctly. First the floors need to be redone. Nails are coming through and they are pretty worn out. I would like to stain them darker I'm just not sure how dark. I was thinking if I am going to do my floors, I would consider doing my cabinets too. I would either go a darker shade on the floors and a lighter shade in the same tone on the cabinets or a darker shade on the cabinets and a lighter shade on the floor. Either way the lighter color would still bel darker than the existing light oak in the picture. I hope that made more sense

Ok thanks. I previously bookmarked the Presidio Heights Residence picture. I like the color of the cabinets, I think the cabinets in the other picture are too dark. I need to find a something in the middle still looking at darker floors. Thank you
