Brand new house has broom closet for a laundry room

We built a new house but the standard laundry room was so small the door hit the dryer and would not close. We would like to expand the laundry and create storage and possibly a small office nook off of the laundry. We both work from home and we have a computer/desk in our dining room creating clutter. Thank you!
