8'-6" ceiling height. The window sill is at 3'-8.25" above the finished floor. Hope that helps.

That floor is really pretty! Oak with a custom stain?

The oak flooring actually was salvaged from the house that was torn down on site. The existing home was deconstructed, both for environmental purposes as well as for a tax deduction.

The salvage wood flooring was then reused in the new home, along with a few leaded glass samples and a few other building elements. The floor was from about 1910, and as you can see has great character.

I don't recall the stain that we used. It was likely a standard color from Minwax or one of the other stain companies.
