Short answer: yes. Citrus, wine, and coffee are the main offenders. That said, there are companies who will put you on an annual service contract to buff/refinish/reseal as needed so you don't have to worry about it. Most clients who choose this surface are okay with the look of a working kitchen and chalk wear and tear up to "character marks." Hope this helps!
