Usually the tile would end with the counter top, but because of those two electrical boxes it looks like it would end in the middle of the outlet. I would suggest you end the tile at end of the counter top, but lower the tile at the end of the cabinets so you go under the electrical boxes.

It looks as if that outer electrical box is going to be a problem child ;-) So, I think I would either invite the electrician back to fix the problem or end the tile at the upper cabinet.

I would end the backsplash with the upper cabinet.

I'm going to have that same problem, minus the outlets at the end. Only I am able to shift my one cabinet to the left so I can add a 12" diagonal cabinet so both cabinets meet at the same place.

End w counter. If you consider the backsplash goes with the counter not the cabinets - visually makes since - other way would look unfinished :)

I'd be having the electrician back to change that situation. Why are the 2 boxes so far apart? You won't be able to cover them both with one plate, and from the looks of the spacing, there will be only about an inch or two between them. In fact, why are they not together with the other double switch just a few inches away?

I think this is what Christalyn meant. I would suggest that the lowest part be about 4 in. high.

The outlets to the right are speaker controls etc. they were done by the audio guys. I'm not sure they can be moved. That's part if my backsplash problem. :)

Go straight up the wall with the edge of the granite and turn left to meet the bottom of cabinet. Cut around the speaker outlets, just like all the others. It will look better.
