My kitchen available open space is 7'10" by 9'. Is it feasible to install a center counter top with a sink and eating area, as shown in the picture?

You need at least 42" all the way around a kitchen island - Then you'd need 24" depth minimum for the island cabinet and another 16" or so for an eating ledge: That adds up to at least 124"
