Window and Trim dileema

We just installed new wood windows and would like to stain the window and the trim around windows a golden oak wood but the rest of the house has all white trim along the floor and white doors. Would it look good if we had wood trim and windows with white floor trim and white doors?

I'm sure you'll be advised that it will look strange, but if it was my house, I'd do it. If I didn't like how it looked, I'd repaint it white. My philosphy is that if my husband and I like something, it stays.
