I think I like this one the best so far as the slats are narrow, they are spaced further apart for visibility...just use a more natural wood to accentuate current decor

the slats are probably too close together on this...but possibly spacing them the maximum of 4" apart could work...maybe narrower wood slats.

staircase on the left coming down...not sure what material this is made of, possibly horizontal spindles....if we could find wood spindles that could fit horizontal, might be an option
