Feng shui in the home office
If you work at home—or even if you work in an office—the most important feng shui element to consider is the orientation of your desk and chair to the entrance to the room. If you sit facing a wall with your back to the door, it robs you (even if you don’t realize it) of an element of security and can lead to a feeling of discomfort. It’s true that turning the arrangement of your desk so that you face the entry to the room may create a design dilemma or two, but if you can figure out how to do it, you’ll end up occupying what they call the “power position” in the room. In all the examples below, if we can't see the entrance to the room, let's assume that we're standing in the doorway looking in.
This outdoor office, gorgeous as it is, offers no sense of security. A screen behind the chair wouldn't hurt
